My name is Mela Kocher Lennstroem and I’m a Swiss games researcher. I wrote my dissertation “Folge dem Pixelkaninchen! Ästhetik und Narrativität digitaler Spiele” („Follow the Pixel Rabbit“, avail. only in German) on the subject of aesthetics and narrativity of digital games. In spring 09 I moved to San Diego with my husband and baby boy to initiate my two years’ post-doctoral research project for which I’d received a grant from the The Swiss National Science Foundation. My research topic is the blurring of reality and fiction in digital media, especially in ARGs. In my debut as an ARG player I got flown in from San Diego to Berlin for the finale of the „Therapy“-ARG which I’m still excited about.
